Abstract

This article is devoted to the synthesis of gold nanoparticles in a solution (AuNPs ) by using solid hydrolysis of gold metal in several different solutions such as DDDW, SDS, CTAB and NaBH4. The structural, optical and morphological properties of the prepared colloidal solutions were studied. Several techniques such as XRD, FTIR, UV-VIS and FESEM. XRD measurements showed that the gold nanoparticles have a cubic crystal system (FCC) and that the preferred crystalline orientation is (111). The active groups in the liquid medium were determined using (FTIR) which are showed four important bonds (OH, C≡C, C=C and CH). Optical measurments of samples were conducted by (UV-VIS) spectrophotometer, which showed the peak of the surface plasmon (SPR) at the wavelength of (520 nm), while there was an increase in the energy gap values of (1.86,1.95and 2) eV for colloidal solutions (SDS, CTAB and NaBH4) compared with the colloidal (DDDW), the images of the field emitting scanning electron microscope (FESEM) showed the presence of nanoparticles within the nanoscale.
