		<Abstract>In this work, pulsed laser ablation with 500 and 700 mJ lasers was used to synthesis metals oxide nanoparticles from Zn, Ni, and Fe. Colloidal solutions of these metal oxides were obtained by immersing the metal in deionized water. Structural analysis, including X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy, was performed. Atomic absorption spectroscopy was used to determine the initial concentration of the material. This initial concentration was then diluted into several sub-concentrations for antibacterial testing. The effects of the nanoparticles against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria were investigated.</Abstract>
